Father God,

Today, I pray for a right understanding of how to fight against the spiritual attacks of the enemy. So many means of resistance are promoted which contradict one another, which either make it seem so complex or so simple, which either make it into nothing or into everything. We walk about in this world pushing back against powers and principalities, tearing down strongholds, tearing down gates, defending against fiery arrows, so its reality is undeniable.

Make us to understand Ephesian’s armor of God as we gird ourselves for the battle. Make us to understand the power of prayer when Satan’s storm comes against us. Strengthen our mustard seed of faith when the waves rise against us and pound us over and over. Make our feet to stand firmly on the rock of our salvation when the floods come rushing.

Then, Lord, drive back the spiritual attacks, extinguish the arrows, shine light into their shadows, silence the deceiving voices, and lift us up from the mire. Put an end to the influence and oppression that threatens to undo us. Give us the victory that only Your Spirit can do through the prayers of the saints.
