Father God,

Today, I pray for the Christian Fathers who are pressing into their children’s life, striving to pass on a Christian heritage that includes not only a foundational faith, but a faith and walk that stands against the cultural tide by building a God cultured kingdom.

I pray that the watering down of the Christian walk of life would come to an end. I pray that Father’s who are not passing on a deeper heritage than they were given would be convicted that such a watering down must end in the generation by their sacrifice to reestablish a deeper walk.

As the number of Christian fathers taking their calling seriously and humbly grows, give them supernatural strength, wisdom, and courage. Give them victory over the voices of the culture which simplify the walk to morality, which pick and choose which commands to follow, which divide faith out from external life, which view real faith as obsolete and antiquated, which tempt children away to an easier walk in life.

God, forgive Fathers for not leading, turn their eyes and hearts to the task, and empower them to tear down the gates of hell.
