Father God,

Today, I pray for those who have lost loved ones so recently that the burning of their hearts still keeps them up at night, still aches in their chest during the days, and still takes their breath as they remember those they will see no more on this earth.

I pray that Your presence would be with them in the long days and the long nights. I pray that Your Spirit would comfort them in their grief. I pray that You would catch every tear and hold them closely.

I pray that in the midst of the loss, they would draw near to You. I pray that they would seek You for their strength. I pray that You would continue as their provider through the days ahead.
