Father God,

Today, I pray that You would set a sword in the mouths of each of Your people and each of us would respond with “Hear I am, send me.” I pray that as we respond to Your Spirit working out their our words and actions, we would see the gates of hell fall, the captives set free, the blind to see, filthy rags of sin washed white as snow.

I pray that all which holds us back from knowing, pursuing, and proclaiming truth would be removed by the working of Your Power through Your Presence. I pray that we would lift Your Name up as our banner and our lives under that banner would prove to the world that we belong to the Holy One.

I pray that You would purify us before Your throne and create a clean heart in us that can speak truth rightly and fully and effectively to the dark world in which we live.

Have mercy on us and forgive us that we might be salt and light worthy of our calling as Christians.

In Christ’s Name,

Amen.
