Father God,

Today, I pray for parents who are watching their children go through an illness which threatens their lives. Our fallen world does not overlook children when oppressing Your people and so many children have to endure life threatening illnesses like cancer and more. Between the illness and the therapies used to treat the illnesses, the children suffer in ways that are heavy for a parent’s heart.

I pray for Your hand of provision to give them wisdom, to give them comfort, and to bring healing to the children’s bodies. I pray that Your Hand would work healing both through the therapies attempted by human hands and through the direct working of Your Spirit upon them.

I pray for the body of Christ around those families to love them well through prayer, support, and the practicalities of loving one another. I pray that Your Presence would work through the hands and feet of Your people around those families.
