Father God,

Today, I pray for families who are separated by some physical distance for work. So many today have to travel for their jobs or serve in the military for months at a time. For others, its missionary work which sends whole families away for years at a time from other family members.

In whichever of these situations they find themselves, there comes a lot of dependence on You, oh Lord. They have to trust that You will care for their loved ones they cannot directly be present with. They have to trust that You will bring them back together sooner or later. They have to trust You with the longings and sadness of separation.

I pray that You would be their rock, their comforter, their provider, their refuge in the long nights and days separated. Keep them safe until Your Providence brings them together again.
