Father God,

Today, I pray for stillness in the storms of life. So often, we can be so frantic, tossed about by the waves which come at us. We are moved to and fro even by the regular waves of average days, but then bigger storms come at us and we get even more distracted or dismayed.

I pray that neither the waves of our daily walks nor the waves of extraordinary storms would cause us to stagger nor stumble, that no waves would cause us to take our eyes off You and Your promises. I pray that our focus and our resolve and our faith would rest in the stillness of Your Mighty Hand.

I pray that You would fill Your children’s souls with the peace that transcends understanding.
