Today,

I pray against the darkness which pulls the unresisting further into its pit. As those who seek their own ways continue to resist God’s chastisements, His providences that could release them, His messengers telling them truth, they go deeper and deeper into the darkness, seeing less and less of reality.

In so many ways at all times, the enemy works through deception, turning even the godly away from the Truth, but especially the ungodly who have no reason to pursue Truth. I pray for those who have slid further and further into the enemy’s snares to awaken from their slumber, to see clearly the danger of their descent into madness, and to pursue the light that leads them out.

I pray for freedom for the captives. I pray that those now captive would let go of the darkness to which they hold and turn to the light of Truth that they might be freed.
