Father God,

Today, I pray for families that You would strengthen those that are seeking You and restore our nation’s understanding of what a godly family looks like and acts like. Our nation’s families have become so disintegrated from frequent moves, from relational dissension, from cultural deceptions, and a loss of the ability to love one another well.

I pray that You would heal the wounds of misunderstandings. I pray that You would humble those who have hurts others and reconcile broken relationships. I pray that You would enable families to spend more time together in person. I pray that You would show each family member the treasures of family connection.

I pray against the forces of the culture which are trying to distort what the family looks like. I pray against the pressures of society which divide families. I pray that You would silence the cultural voices that separate parents and children.

I pray that through families You would multiply Your children as parents pass down a deeper faith to each new generation.
